WORK
I'm been a software developer working at various companies in the
Bay Area since 1999.
SCHOOL
I hold a Ph.D. from the
Computer Science Department
at Stanford University.
My doctoral work was on Efficient Maintenance and Recovery of
Data Warehouses under Professor Hector
Garcia-Molina.
Prior to that, I attended UCLA and got a B.S. in Computer Science. I worked with Professor Jason Cong in the area of VLSI CAD research. And before UCLA, I am a proud alumni of the Philippine Science High School (PSHS), the top high school in the Philippines hands down. I started my schooling in Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) in Ilocos Norte, a rural area of the Philippines.
PLAY
In my free time, I enjoy playing (1) poker, (2) basketball, (3) pool
(4) tennis, (5) volleyball, (6) other sports in that order.
Before all the stress began, I probably was just lying in a
white sand Philippine beach
somewhere, or admiring the island's many volcanoes. For anybody that hasn't been to the Philippines,
I urge you to visit.
I would recommend going to the beaches, climbing
the mountains, visiting old churches, or
just relaxing in the rural areas. I'm not a big fan of Manila,
it needs lots of cleaning up.
