Proper Concurrency Control Scheme

• For core copies:

  • Select quorums to sites that need read/write access
  • Use primary copy whenever possible
  • If not, use read-one-write-all
    • makes life simpler; can still change directory

• For cached copies:

  • Provide minimum currency that is needed
