Shaping
Shaping is an operation on the grid (metadata) that does not change the total number of cells. Some examples of shaping follow.
Dicing changes the order of dimensions within the grid. An auxiliary argument to this function is the reordering transformation of the multiindex Á.
Dimensional reshuffling changes the order of members within one of the dimensions. The auxiliary argument to this function is the dimension number and the reordering transformation within that dimension.
