DB & Internet – for Scientists
As with databases, physical connectivity is only a necessary condition for interoperability -- need semantic integration too!
Database middleware is good, but scientists need “personal” structure, & local use.
Plan for integrating not only new data but new structures and behavior.
Need long term collaborative work between domain scientists and computer scientists.
