In this presentation we will discuss the evolution of video databases into "multiple perspective" information systems. It is clear that the computing and communication infrastructure is changing the nature of TV and video. We will discuss the emerging nature of multimedia information systems in the context of this rapidly changing information infrastructure.
We will first present issues related to video databases and then discuss the requirements in the context of multiple perspective interactive video. We will demonstrate that by viewing multiple video and other sources as information systems, many exciting things can be done. We will present several results to show our experiements in this area.
