Inflation
As we previously mentioned, inflations are not always possible and not always meaningful. However if we previously deflated a grid and saved the deflation information (map of virtual dimensions and reordering transformations) nothing prevents us from restoring one or more dimensions.
Certainly, an “abstract” inflation approach is possible, for instance, if we arbitrarily endow one of the dimensions with a product structure (possibly adding empty cells to make it even). The value of such an approach is questionable.
