Monika R. Henzinger

This talk presents my view of open issues in web search engines. I will touch various areas, but mostly concentrate on information retrieval and data mining issues.
Monika R. Henzinger is the director of research at Google Inc. Before joining Google she was a professor at the University of the Saarland in Saarbruecken, Germany, a member of the research staff at Digital's Systems Research Center in Palo Alto, CA, and an assistant professor in the Computer Science Department at Cornell University. She received an NSF CAREER award in 1995 and was recently voted one of the Top 25 Women on the Web for 2001.
