Because scrip is vendor-specific, double-spending is easy to detect.
- It requires only a local lookup (using unique sequence number).
- Other systems need to check w/central authority.
Forgery is hard: scrip is stamped.
Scrip cannot be stolen.
- Stamp ties scrip to request.
