TRAINING AND EVALUATION OUTLINES

SECTION "f", TASK STANDARDS: This is a statement that prescribes overall standards that must be met for the successful execution of the task. This overall standard should be the focus of the training. It should be understood by every soldier. The taks standard specifies which subtasks and subtask standard are critical to the performance of the task. If the unit fails to correctly perform one of these critical subtasks to standard, it has failed to achieve task standard. Any remaining subtasks, while not critical to the overall standard, must be performed correctly for the unit to be proficient in the task.


MANEUVER

PERFORM Attack Position Activities (17-2-0329) (FM 71-1)

TASK STANDARD: The company team moves to the designated attack position, deploys into an attack formation, maintain security, completes last minute checks, and moves to and crosses the LD at the time specified in the OPORD.

OPFOR Task: Locate and Harass Assembly Area

2 - Harass the unit main body during movement to the assembly area with direct and indirect fire.
6 - Destroy 15 percent of enemy forces in the assembly area.


ASSAULT an Enemey Position Dismounted (17-2-0310) (FM 71-1)

TASK STANDARD: The company team assaults the position, resulting in the destruction, capture, or withdrawal of 100 percent of the enemy on the objective. The company team sustains no friendly casualties due to friendly fire. The company team sustains no more than 50 percent casualties. The main body is not surprised.

e - Maintains forward momentum along the axis of attack.


ASSAULT an Enemey Position Mounted (17-2-0326) (FM 71-1)

TASK STANDARD: The company team assaults the position, resulting in the destruction, capture, or withdrawal of 100 percent of the enemy on the objective. The company team sustains no friendly casualties due to friendly fire. The company team sustains no more than 50 percent casualties. The main body is not surprised.

e - Company team remains in hide positions until ready to assault. maintain stealth.
(+) 3 Company team assaults the enemy position.
e - Maintains forward momentum along the assault routes in conjunction with other company team elements.
j - Company team destroys all fleeing vehicles.
l - Infantry plattons flush out all dismounted resistance on the objective in the trenches or in hiding.


DEFEND (17-2-1021) (FMs 7-10 and 7-71)

TASK STANDARDS: The company team completes all preparations directed by the commander not later than the time specified in the order. The company main body is not suprised by the enemy. The company decisively engages the enemy. The company team destroys, blocks, delays for the specified time, and canalizes the enemy into the designated area. The company team denies and prevents penetration of specified boundary of terrain. The company team sustain no more than 30 percent friendly casualties and inflicts no less than 50 percent casualties on the enemy.

a - Vehicles travel along preselected covered and concealed positions.
b - Vehicles do not stop until reaching the battle position guides.
p - The enemy cannot spot any position from expected engagement areas.

9 Unit leaders coordinate with adjacent, supporting, co-located, and higher units.
b - Identify overlapping direct fire.


SUPPORT by Fire (17-2-0306) (FM 71-1)

TASK STANDARD: The company suppresses the enemy so that it is unable to maneuvre and the supported element is able to conduct their assigned mission. The company team causes no casualties in the supported element. The company team receives no more than 10 percent casualties.
