A large number of the programs currently in use for payroll and other important applications use only two digits to represent a year; these programs will interpret the year 2001 as 1901. The site also includes links to other related sites and email lists. If you are responsible for mission-critical information systems, you should be aware of these problems, and the Year2000 Information Network site is a good place to start. [PJD]
