I am interested in learning how the Internet is dealing with spam mail. Annoyed at the fact that every time I check my mail a new junk mail advertisement will a ppear, I would like to study how the government has responded and which laws are supposed to protect consumer rights. I am also interested in how the marketers get their mailing information, and what steps can be taken to stop junk mail fro m continuing. A similar topic that I may also try to address is the emergence of pop up window advertisements that seem to be impossible to stop. Hopefully by r esearching this topic not only will I learn more about the laws and legal aspect of the Internet, but I may also find information that will help me and peers cu t down on junk email.
