(2001)
Synopsis
In this psychological suspense thriller, adapted from James Patterson's highly acclaimed novel, Morgan Freeman reprises his role as Dr. Alex Cross, the Washington, D.C. psychologist/ police detective who is through playing mind games with criminals. Then along comes methodical predator Gary Soneji (Michael Wincott), who commits a daring kidnapping and lures Cross into the case.
Soneji's not out for ransom, he wants something much bigger - a place in the history books. His every move is planned with the precision of a spider spinning his web. Now Cross and Secret Service agent Jezzie Flannigan (Monica Potter) are in a race against time to stop him.

Usually the movie is not as good as the book, however, in this case they are equally suspensful. Great cast keeps the movie goer on the edge of their seat just as the book kept us turning the pages.. If you enjoy the rides one gets on the suspense highway... rent this one.. but watch out for the ... Complete Review

If you liked Kiss the Girls, the movie, you will really enjoy this movie. The plot moves along well with a decent ending. But scratch all of that if you read the books.. If you are a James Patterson fan be prepaired to walk out a little unnerved....

Very good movie. That's all I'm going to say. Don't ask anyone what it's about or it will spoil the surprise. If you like thrillers, just see it.

Finally! I have seen a 5 star movie! It has been a while but this one was worth the wait! Suspenseful, kept me guessing, and the acting was solid!

Powerful and thought provoking performance by the cast, with style and a twist. I'd recommend this film if you like drama or Morgan Freeman.
