About the DVD: The Three Kings DVD is especially praiseworthy, demonstrating the astonishing degree of craft and care that went into creating the film. Not only are you given a tour of the sets, for example, but you also get CNN footage of the Gulf War. The image is in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen, and the sound is in Dolby Digital 5.1. Extras include two commentaries from Russell and the producers; featurettes; video diaries; deleted scenes; production stills; and a funny, razor-sharp dissection of the surreal universe of modern filmmaking from Jonze, the director of Being John Malkovich.
Cast: George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Ice Cube, Jamie Kennedy, Spike Jonze

Fight Club
When corporate drone Edward Norton can't sleep, his insomnia leads him to take desperate measures and introduces him to roguish rebel Brad Pitt. Netflix Review
I know several people who find Three Kings to be bravura filmmaking; I also know folks who find it contradictory and incomplete. Both are right. Director David O. Russell's Gulf War heist flick largely confounded audiences when it hit theaters. If it were meant to be an indictment of the rampant ... Complete Review

If you're envisioning a gung-ho war movie with George Clooney as the clean-cut hero, you're in for a [pleasant] surprise. Three Kings is more about the war that you DIDN'T see on CNN -- the soldiers who aren't sure why they're there, who they're fighting, or if they've really won the war; the ... Complete Review

This movie is hard to define in any catagory. I guess you'd have to call it a dark comedy meets action adventure meets war story. The use of unusual angles and effects was a nice twist. Over all, it could have been better, but it is not boring.
