Synopsis
January 1991. Millions tune in to CNN to see a real life and death drama in the Gulf War. As the U.S. Forces take a starring role, the P.R. department at the White House is working overtime. Having cut his directing teeth on the Civil War drama Glory, Zwick is no stranger to battle scenes and addresses at length the challenges of coordinating Courage Under Fire's Desert Storm scenes.

...of a wholly and honestly strong female character under pressure from both the military and the war situation in which she and her crew are encompassed. I just want to point out one thing. I'm not a huge fan of Military-type movies at all, but this movie is one of THE BEST movies ever made! I truly loved it! All of the actors/actresses were wonderful! I highly recommend it...oh, and don't forget to have the tissues close at hand! =)

Meg Ryan’s “Southern” accent is indeed atrocious in this film, but wow...what a great movie.

The folks making movies like _Magnolia_ and _American Beauty_ orta be tied to a chair and forced to watch _Courage Under Fire_ over and over again until they understand that there ARE good guys in the world.
