You don't see enough good war movies these days. The cinematography and special effects of the burned out city were fantastic. The story was a bit shallow, but the performances were strong. I was expecting much worse based on reviews I had read, but I was pleasantly surprised..

The only film thats made me return to the thearter 4 times to see this dramatic story. I love the fact that the two snipers going head to head against each other are oblivious to the war going on around them. If I could rate this a 6, I would. Don't miss this movie.

I thought this wasnt a bad flick for a war movie. Couple mistakes here and there with the bolt action rifle. But not bad at all.. I recomend this film. Even though the real Vassili wasn't a good looking guy he ended up being a short fat guy.... They just put Jude Law so the girls can take a look ... Complete Review

Our family enjoyed this movie ver much. We see so much these days about the American, British, and French involvement in WWII. This is the best depiction of the involvement and suffering of the Russian people that I have ever seen. What a horrible, horrible war it was.
