Synopsis

Please note that the conclusion of this film and the bonus features are on a second disc. Both discs will be shipped to you simultaneously.

Director Michael Bay gives FDR's "date that will live in infamy" epic scope. Two daring young pilots, Rafe McCawley (Ben Affleck) and Danny Walker (Josh Hartnett) vie for the affections of comely Army nurse Evelyn Stewart (Kate Beckinsale). But their love has only just begun to bloom when their personal destinies -- and that of a world on the brink of war -- intervene.

The will romance that will tug your heartstrings and the combat sequences are stunning; the attack on December 7th - an impressive mix of live action and CGI will have you battening down the hatches.

About the DVD: The Japanese attack contains bona fide jolts -- such as a bomb's-eye view of the ordnance that crashes through three decks of the battleship Arizona before exploding and rending the warship in two. And get ready for some queasy moments as pilots Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett trade machine-gun bursts with spiraling Zeros in the skies above a burning Battleship Row.

Cast: Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett, Kate Beckinsale, Cuba Gooding Jr., Tom Sizemore, Jon Voight, Colm Feore, Alec Baldwin, Andrew Bryniarski, Greg Baine, Garret Sato, Tomas Arana, Dan Aykroyd, Matthew Davis, William Fichtner, Peter Firth, Paul Francis, Jennifer Garner, Beth Grant, Catherine Kellner, James King, Mako, Leland Orser, William Lee Scott, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Guy Torry, Scott Wiper

It's easy to get immersed in this intoxicating thriller that features more high-tech gizmos than you'd probably find in Bill Gates' attic. Sean Connery stars as a retired master thief implicated in a major art burglary. Catherine Zeta-Jones is the investigator sent to track him down. They join forces for a millennial heist that'll have you clutching your recliner's arms.

Two things are certain about Pearl Harbor, producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Michael Bay's $140-million epic sprawl about the sanguine December day when America entered World War II. First, the film had a huge opening weekend; second, that box office surfeit can't cloud the fact that this ...

I've read the previous negative reviews, and I must say, I strongly disagree. I felt that this movie had everything. The love trangle grabs your attention in the beginning of the movie and stays in your mind throughout the battle scenes, while you're wondering who's going to live through the ... Complete Review

once again holltwood insults John Q. Public's intelligence, the truth is im not very bright but i know enough to understand how tragic the eventsof pearl harbor were and this movie is a great injustice to those who died because it shows there deaths as a back story to a cheesy love story which is ... I thought this might be ok since it had some pretty funny scenes in the beginning. Unfortunately, it really declined after that. I found the actual Pearl Harbor attack scenes only somewhat interesting. They were too sanitized and, of course, our heroes manage to be the only ones who actually ... Complete Review

This movie should be cut to the 40-45 minute of the attack (which was awesome). I really didn't like the lead guys doing everything in the first 2 yrs of the pac theater. It an EPIC story that requires many characters to pull off....see A brigde to far, big red one, and the longest day.
