Synopsis

A hero is measured by the enemies he makes.

Tom Selleck returns to the Western frontier in Crossfire Trail, a film adaptation of Louis L'Amour's classic tale about a restless wanderer bound by a promise to a dying friend.

Rafe Covington (Tom Selleck) values one thing above all--his word. Just before his good friend dies, Rafe makes a vow to look after his widow, Ann (Virginia Madsen), and promises to protect her Wyoming ranch. This strong code of honor leads Rafe and his two traveling companions, Rock and J.T. (David O'Hara and Christian Kane), to her small town, which is being terrorized by a conniving land owner, Bruce Barkow (Mark Harmon), and his hired gun, Bo Dorn (Brad Johnson). Rafe takes on Barkow, but Ann remains unsure of his motives. Ultimately, she must let her heart decide who to trust.

Excellent movie! Tom Selleck playing the hero in a Louis L'amour western -- how much better can it get? Another great role for a great actor! Recommend highly!

Extremely well done!!! But then the team of Selleck & L'Amour always delivers. This is one for your library.

Tom Selleck is a great cowboy hero. He fits Louis Lamour's image perfectly and he even rides well.

I like Tom Sellac as an actor. The beginning of the movie lacked a lot, it got better after he got of the clipper ship. Captain was just phony. The rest of the story was good, but predictable. I was hoping for more like the sharpshooter movie in Australia

Once you get by the first fight scene on the ship the movie is really good. That scene should have been deleted. But the movie overall was very good. One of the better westerns to come out lately.

A great western with action and plot that keep you interested from start to finish. Tom Selleck is at his best when he plays the role of a cowbow with good principles and a tough exterior you don't want to mess with.
