Who am I?
Mayank Bawa. I finished my Doctoral studies at the Computer Science
Department of Stanford
University. Earlier, I completed my Bachelors program in Computer Science
and
Engg. from the Indian
Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB), in May 1999.
What do I do?
I have co-founded Aster Data Systems along with George Candea and Tassos Argyros.
During my PhD., I worked with Prof. Hector Garcia-Molina on the
Peers
project in the Infolab
at Stanford.
My research interests are Databases and Distributed Systems.
Why do I explore Databases and the Web?
A problem worthy of the great master himself!
