The distributed file system will grow substantially. Mount points will be pushed out to nearly all machines on campus. This will provide machine independent logins. Whenever you log onto a computer on campus or home, if your systems mount the AFS, your home directory and all those files will be there. In addition, Stanford-wide space will be available for web pages, documents, classes, and individuals. This space will be backed up and restored.
