Security

DCG will increase the attention that we give to security. DCG is moving to an open but secure environment.

• Tripwire

  There are files on your system that should not change without your knowledge. A tripwire monitors the system and notifies a user if some of these protected files changes.

• COPS

  Once the permissions of files on a system have been correctly established, they should not change. COPS monitors the system and maintains consistent permissions and settings.

• Logging (login, ftp, telnet, rlog, ..., events) - wrapping
• Filters (like IP spoofing)
• Kerberos 4.0 to 5.0
• Distributed securely-built Unix
• Authentication (kerberos) + Authorization (ACLs)
