Research

David Maluf was a Post Doctoral Fellow in the department of Computer Science at Stanford University. David was mainly involved in information technology and was associated with the database group.

Currently, David is with the Computational Science Division at NASA Ames Research located in Silicon Valley. NASA Ames has been chosen to be NASA's Center of Excellence in Information Technology.

Industry Leadership

I pursued my interest in natural science and completed his premedical studies. The merging of information systems and biology in the mid 90's led me to be involvement into a leading edge technology in bio-informatics and genomic research at Incyte Pharmaceutical. I was part in the developement of LifeSeq and LifeTools a comprehensive system for managing the explosion of genomic data in both public and private databases.

Science Gate Bay

Later on, I founded Science Gate Bay an open information system, dealing with heterogeneous information. Science Gate Bay has developed a database core technology to integrate genomic databases. This technology is devised to smoothly integrate with existing bio-informatics software tools. Although compact in size, FASTXi allows lightning speed access and retrieval to most genomic databases.
