Tonya Lee Putnam J.D./Ph.D.
I am an Assistant Professo of Political Science at Columbia
University. I received my Ph.D. in March 2005 from the Department
of Political Science at Stanford University, and my law
degree in June 2002 from Harvard
Law School. I also received Post-Doctoral
fellowships at the Center for International Security and Cooperation at
Stanford University, and the Niehaus Center for
Globalization and
Governance at Princeton University. My primary
research interests involve extraterritoriality, transnational
regulatory disputes, and exploring how international legal processes
shape, and are shaped by international politics.
Other areas of interest include human rights, post-conflict transitional
justice, international weapons prohibition regimes, and security in the
post-Soviet region.
