I am working as a visiting scholar with Gio Wiederhold on the OntoAgents project in the DARPA DAML program and SKC project. My interests are:

• The next generation WWW: The Semantic Web - I am the maintainer of SemanticWeb.org
  
• Adding semantics to the Web with XML and RDF using:
  • Knowledge Representation: I am member of the Joint US/EU ad hoc Agent Markup Language Committee, which defines the DARPA Agent Markup Language, and member of the Ontology Inference Layer (OIL) Steering Committee.
  • Inferencing with RDF: I am currently working (together with Michael Sintek) on an Open-Source Query and Inference Language and Engine for Semi-Structured Data (RDF and DAML/OIL) called Triple (the successor of SiLRI). A first presentation of Triple was given to the RDF Interest Group in Boston. The first piece of available Triple software is the Java-XSB Bridge Yajxb.
  • TopicMaps: I am working on an RDF Vocabulary for representing TopicMaps
  • Knowledge Modelling Tools: Together with Protégé-Folks at SMI I am working on an Editor for RDF, using Sergey Melniks RDF-API (highly recommended!)
  • I hang out on the RDF interest list and maintain an updates-page for RDF (at least sometimes).
  • InterDataWorking - a scalable approach to information interoperation
• Ontology based access to information: I am one of the original creators of Ontobroker
• Combining and managing semantical heterogenous information
