I love singing and have an absolute weakness for the
slow, melodious Hindi songs of yore, the ghazals and the few meaningful songs that happen to be
churned out even today.
I think Sonu Nigam is
one of the most delightfully gifted singers of all times. I often say that to
Bryan Adams' fans but they think I am crazy. If you think the same way, I would
urge you to listen to
Humein Jabse Mohabbat. If I had to pick one
songs as a favorite, it would be the same song.
I have learnt a bit of hawaiian guitar. Here
is my rendition of the Indian national anthem. I also
tried my hand at composing a few tunes. Here is my personal
favourite (on guitar). If you can bear my singing,
here is the
same tune with a few words that I forced into it. Feedback appreciated :-) .
I have recently joint the "Dhwani" music group at Stanford that has
been a great learning experience due to the tremendously talented people in the
group. Here is a song we performed at
Diwali (an Indian festival), I am on the hawaiian guitar.
