Lines of Communication

All inquiries regarding the course should be sent to cs145@cs.stanford.edu. This address is monitored continuously by the course staff. We cannot guarantee timely response of CS145-related messages sent directly to an individual staff member.
We will use the mailing list of enrolled students generated by Axess to convey messages to the entire class. We will assume that all important messages conveyed on this list are received and read by all students.
Students may optionally monitor and post to the class newsgroup: su.class.cs145. (Here are instructions for accessing Stanford newsgroups.) We encourage students with a question that may be of general interest to the class, or that may be answered by fellow students, to post their question to the newsgroup first. The newsgroup is monitored by the course staff.
To keep the volume of email manageable, we will maintain Frequently-Asked Question (FAQ) lists, linked to the most relevant Web pages. There will be a general FAQ, as well as a FAQ for each assignment and exam. Before sending an inquiry to cs145@cs or posting a news message, please be sure to review the appropriate FAQs.
