The following sections correspond to the UML material covered in CS145. In each section, we suggest you focus particularly on the initial portion that covers UML modeling. The material relating UML designs to relations is also relevant, but is approached at a more detailed level than we expect in CS145. An understanding of UML-to-relation mappings at the level covered in lecture is sufficient. (Also note the material uses the term "scheme" instead of "schema", but the meaning is the same.)
