STANFORD
ONLINE
APPLICATION

Survey

Overview
In order to prove the need for a new Online Application System, we are surveying admitted Stanford Students about the current online application system. The survey is designed proactively, meaning that the questions try to narrow down the specific problems with the current system.

Goal
The goal of our survey is to gather credible statistical evidence that supports our claim of an urgent need to replace the current online application.

Implementation
To achieve credible results, the survey will not contain any information about this project. Our interest is to credibly establish the student opinion, not to merely push our agenda.

To further ensure the usefulness of the survey's results, the survey itself is in the process of being evaluted by by Stanford's Social Sciences Data Services.
The survey will be conducted online. A set of sample questions is attached.
In order to encourage a significant number of Stanford students to take the survey, there will be an intense advertising campaign using the widely spread chat list system.
